Hey guys,

So I've been doing a lot of searching for the past few days now and have came up with nothing... I saw some older threads on here with links to parts dealers who have this part but I search there and nothing comes up.... I need a new CDR valve and the tube that connects it to the engine. My CDR valve is stuck open and will not close, I've tried to fix it but it's a no go. Anyone know of a company or someone who has a new CDR valve and the tube (grommet)? Oregon Fuel Injection said they can get one for 85 bucks but I don't know if its the right one. That and there was another site where it called it a "adaptor" for 50 bucks and there was no picture so I don't know if it's the right one... Anyone? :p Thanks!

Last time I checked, it was a special order part from the dealership and was called something like a crank case adaptor. If you call it a CDR, they look at you funny. $70 to $80 sounds right.

There are many on here who can tell you all about it. I didn't believe em until I went to the auto parts store askin for a CDR valve. After lookin at their diagrams, I was told it was a special order part so I called the dealership and had to describe in great detail what it was. So, don't be surprised if you get the run around as well.

Yeah haha, this is only the beginning. I'm hoping I can get my hands on one, but based on what I'm hearing, sounds like it may just be possible.

I can get you a part number, but just an FYI, the rubber grommit is no longer made by anybody. I paid $78 at a Ford dealership and that was the only place I could find it. Here it is! "Ford calls this item a "Adapter assembly for Crankcase Ventilation" Part number E3TZ-6A665-A or IH part #1805319C1" Like I said, I tried Case IH, International, and Ford. The only place who had it was Ford, there are reports of people getting them from Case IH for cheaper. Good Luck!

Alrighty sweet, I'll give the local dealership a call tomorrow and hopefully they'll be able to get it. So it's the right one? Comes in through the bottom and then out the middle of the side, round in shape with 2 ears where the bolts go through?

Well, I was cleaning it out and no matter which way I sprayed the parts cleaner it would come out the other end, so it's either stuck open or leaks by really bad.

What would it hurt if it is stuck open? When people install a RDT (road draft tube) they are open all they time correct? I would think you only need to replace if it is stuck closed and the engine can not release pressure.

I bought a brand new one with grommet from Tousley Ford (online) for less than $50 maybe a year ago. They're a sponsor of quite a few Ford forums and have great prices and customer service. Ask for Steve.

Well, right now the only thing its hurting is the engine because its allowing oil into the intake. I could.run a rdt but I like to keep everything stock :)
