7.3 ran fine. The next day I tried to start it. No wait to start light and service engine soon on. Cranks but wont start.

Is it chipped?
Try unplugging the fuel heater and check all the fuses.

as jasper said the fuel bowl heater may have shorted and taken out the maxi fuse under the hood

Yes, it's fuse #22, and yes, disconnect the fuel filter heater FIRST. But if the CE light is on, that suggests there IS power to the PCM. Def. remove any chip/programmer, and check main PCM harness connection.
