Getting ready to install a sleeve on my crank to fix leaks. Problem is that the sleeve is thin and has no instructions as to how to best install it. Should I make a tool to pound on? Heat?

Use the torque ring for the flywheel bolts and some 5/8 nuts or a big stack if washers on the bolts. Go slow and even and let it slide on gently. I like to add a thin coat of red or blue loctite to the crank to ensure a good seal because your going to cut it off anyway.

If your talking about the front one you can use a pine 2x to get it started, you'll want something soft between the sleeve and the hammer

Although the front one isn't technically a crank sleeve since it goes onto the balancer.
