Just got these stage 1 injectors in from Classic Diesel Designs and it took no time getting here! These things look wonderful and I can't wait till this weekend to get them in and tinker with the timing and see how much these babies wake my truck up! 1575500704384180379906907050311.jpg 15755007738178565373321958619826.jpg 15755008230197887263991828535583.jpg 15755009321044483667504470021986.jpg

Oh I'm sure they will! Trucks parked past few days and two of my flea bay injectors are pissing while I hold them in the barn and pour diesel through the top with no pressure, just a piece of 3/8 hoseover the threads and a small funnel. One of them I pumped up to 2600 psi and no pop at all. Other 5 are all over the board ranging from 1200 to 1750ish. My pop tester is homemade and very rudementary and probably not very accurate as far as exact numbers, but I popped each one of them 3x a piece just to verify and although the number may be off, they are consistent with each injector. Either way, they are trashed.
I will post results as soon as I get them in this weekend. I do not own or have readily available timer so I will have to go by ear, but as soon as I get the light haze that indicates that I'm close I will be doing a few pulls empty and find something to go on my 4000 lb 24 ft gooseneck to get close to 15k (probably borrow friends case 90 horse tractor with front end loader and brush hog) and find me a hill (back roads of fm 920 for those who know the area) and jot down egts coolant temp and boost numbers. Those that are interested, my truck is a 91 extended cab f250 are with basically a bone stock 7.3 idi and a 6.9 injection pump with the stock 093 turbo that came optional on the 93 and 94 idi's. E pump feeding it (105p) and regulator set at 5.5 psi cause that's what my truck likes with the injectors that I just pulled. May have to change that. Tires are stock height and just a touch wider 265/75r16 and my gear ratio is 3.73 and 2wd for now till the d 60 goes up front. Zf5 close ratio (4.11- 1 to .77-1) I do plan on doing many more upgrades such as upgraded turbo, bigger pump, intercooler and the d60 mentioned above with a bw1356, but those will take time for me to get to. Wife, 3 kids, small farm to feed, all the things needed to remain broke for the most part. Lol.

I hear that there's a guy who lives just north west of San Antonio who can time our trucks.;)

Yes he can. After I drive 4 1/2 hours south to get there. Lol. It would definitely be worth the drive, the time, the coin and the company, I just need the time off, the coin for fuel to get there, the coin to have him help me out with the timing, and I have shown up several times there empty handed and would prefer to bring and share a few cold ones while we wrench. Lol. And at that point, I should have had him hold onto the new injectors till I got there to save all involved in shippingLOL. But you are certainly correct sir and that is in the plans. Just need my ducks in a row at the same time that my head isn't up my :moon: and my thoughts are centralized around less than 40 things at once. :number2

Member the mention of time off as well as the cost of fuel to get there. Lol. Either way, we can poke fun back and fourth all night. It is what it is. Just wish me some luck on decent enough weather being the barns are full so that I can get those bad boys in there this weekend. May give that cheap crappy ip of mine another flat just for sng after I run the injectors a while. Just need to play with it some.

I should probably arrange to swing by down there with my RV in January but I gotta wait and see if anything comes up in the next few weeks first that would prevent the side trek down there. I dunno if timing will do much for this monster's mpg, if it's even in need of timing. It certainly can't hurt to get it checked though. I'd be tickled pink if it gains half an mpg or more.

Perfectly understandable. You're right. It sure wouldn't hurt. My guess is that it could use some adjustment.

Thinking I should take off work soon and head that way. Was gonna wait, but thinking more and more I dont wanna shoot myself in the foot not having it timed right away vs just stubbing my toe pointing up asap as far as my trucks health is concerned.

Well I didn't get to work on the truck yesterday. Doing it now and figured I'd do all new return lines caps etc and just replaced gp mod and relay and figured I'd swap new gp's in as well. They all pulled out fine and easy as they should as they are zd9 but have all failed. And still didn't get stuck. Even in this condition. 15758362060963086748108554893476.jpg 15758363556094022006372818837828.jpg now I know this is just beating a dead horse at this point on the importance of using quality parts, but feel as though fresh reitteration never hurts .

Idle is so smooth and it almost sounds quiet. Throttle response is rediculousely quick. In neutral snapping the throttle to 3500 real quick made the boost guage jump to 6 psi. Getting on it a touch just to see what's up with the responsiveness while headed to the gas station a few minutes from the house and had trouble keeping these 265/75/ r16 mudders from spinning on pavement treating the go pedal as I normally would. I did develop a pretty decent fuel leak though as I just found that my rear passenger return line cap appearantly isn't seated all the way. At 85 (which shoulda took much longer to reach) my coolant temp was a touch higher than normal at 200 flat till fan kicked in, egts wouldn't get above 780 f. Boost guage was dancing between each shift and at 85 was playing peek-a-boo with 14lbs on a 5%grade. Didn't get done in time to load up the trailer and do a nice pull, but fortunately for me I have a nice 04 Cummins dually on my trailer with a busted clutch. Trailer right now is not the 15 k I wanted it to weigh but I guess 12k is close enough to jot a few numbers down on a decent pull probably tomorrow afternoon. This thing is a good bit more awake than before and I would recommend these injectors to anyone just wanting to boost a bit of power out of their truck. These would be wonderful with a bigger pump, upgraded turbo, and intercooler I would assume as part of a power upgrade and even by themselves they have made my throttle snappyer than ever before, my turbo that is stock more responsive and made the truck run so much smoother than before it actually made it quieter to a small degree. Kinda hear the turbo over the block. Lol. And scared the wife a bit. Gotta love that.
