My maintenance truck is down, blown engine. 2014 F250 6.7l powerstroke. At almost $25,000 for a new complete engine installed (per the stealership), I'm planning on just buying a new truck but they have no "chips" for the new ones. Would it be possible to remove the "chip" from the 2014 and install it in a 2022 F250 6.7l? Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I only see forums for 6.0s and 7.3s.

Is it not possible? I figured I'd get at least a "nope, impossible" response. If I AM in the wrong place, let me know, I'm a humble guy, I'll move it!

I would rank it as highly unlikely. Unlikely that it would work, and even less likely that Ford would let it happen. Just my $.02

My thought, too. I was hoping they'd be interested in selling one of the 200 unchipped trucks they are desperate to move!
