Can you have a RDT with a bypass filter?

Thanks for the pictures, CDX. How well does that system work for you? Those lines seem kind of small in comparison to the large 1" RDT tubes that others seem to be running.

Hi everyone, and Thank You for reading this thread.

I'm going to run a road draft tube using the Banks adapter that fits infront of the oil fill. I just finished the install of that tonight (pict attached).

But, I was thinking of running a bypass filter (Amsoil or Filtration Solutions) with a return to the oil filler cap. But, with all the crankcase pressure venting out right in front of the oil filler, do you think I will lose oil out the RDT?

I'm a few days from getting this truck running again. It has been sitting (getting modified) for over a year now.

Thanks for any ideas.

Archie

Hey Archie,
If you're thinking about the Amsoil system, then I would say go for it- definitely easier than the options so far presented. Get Amsoil's in & out adapter that screws onto the stock oil filter mount- this will save a sh!tload of work and is bullet proof. Take a look- I love mine & the filters are easy to change also...;Sweet
