Brake upgrade advice

I have a 2wd 1995 7.3 PS with a ZF5. Anybody have any suggestions for brake upgrades? I do a lot of towing. Around 1,500 lbs in bed of truck & 12,000 lbs of trailer and equipment. Trying to keep it around $1k but open to all advice.

Hydroboost would be at the top of my list.

Dunno if you're dually or not, but srw has some variation on rear brake shoe width. Verify you have the 3" wide. May be able to upgrade the wheel cylinder size too.

make sure your drum brake self adjusters are working properly to get the most out of the rear brakes
