How far from Saluda ??

Far enough. Besides, last I heard Saluda was out of service.

I'll second Mikes post on the Hadley's. That's what I got on the Moose Truck, and they sound good. You want horns that point forward and are not obstructed. You loose a lot of presence when they don't point the right way. Train horns are great, but they belong on Locomotives, not pickups. OK, yea I'm a spoil sport. LOL :D Honestly, that's a lot of horn to put on that you can't really use. I had some A-hole in a Dodge test out his Nathan M5 in a tunnel when he was behind me, and I near crapped my pants. I could have taken his tag number and turned him over to the authorities but I don't want to be an A-hole too. It might feel good to use such power, but if you use it on the wrong person it's gonna cost you big time.

I have a set of dual trumpet horns off a Euclid dump truck like the one below:

I get my air from an on-board York compressor. They aren't train horns, but they are loud enough...:D

I have been debating on whether to go ahead and roof-mount one of my swap-meet sets and hook up the lanyard valve, or maybe mount them somewhere else and control them with a ball-valve.

My head is already so close to the roof that I might hang myself with the lanyard getting out of the truck.

I like the ability to control the air that one does not have by using a solenoid.

Im old school, and going for somewhat the same look as my grandpas truck, so Im mounting it on the roof with the lanyard valve.
