Dwight, My mech gaugs are mounted in seperate cups on the steering colum.....for the oil press, just install line at filter head.

For coolant, just move the sender from the top of the pump to the side [remove plug] and mount the adaptor for the mech gauge .....

You even get to use the block off plate on the firewall as you pass thru cause you gots a auto magick :D

the only pic I have of them.......:sorry:

I have Stewart Warner mechanical gauges for water and vegoil on my pillar. Got them from eGauges. The dash gauges are ISSPRO electrical (boost, pyro & tranny) from Diesel Manor. I must say that the mechanical gauges don't last as long as electrical gauges do. I had to replace one on warranty because the needle would stick at the bottom and wouldn't rise slowly. After 140*F it would jump from the bottom to 140*F and on up.

oil has a plug for pressure at the filter?
Move stock temp to side?
I'm a little slow today.....;Really

Not as slow as this site -cusscookoo:dunno

On the oil filter head there is an 1/8" plug---you will get pressure reading from there----looking straight down on the water pump between the heater hose neck and the upper rad hose is the stock temp sender....remove the sender and look on the drivers side of the w/p--just below the vac pump there is a 3/8" plug on the side---install fact temp sender there....the wires will reach fine.
Then install the mech temp adaptor for the capillary where the orig stock temp sender was ;Sweet

I guess I'll go with the A-pillar? but I do like the separate cups on the steering column?:dunno

dwight, It's gonna be tough to get the oil press line up the pillar---I did not use the crappy 1/8" plastic line...I used steel braided#3 line rated for NOS...

mebee go with hheynow's dash pod idea....running the steel braided to the colum is right straight foreward tho....just gots ta modify the dash plastic a touch :D

The dash pod is from eGauges. They have double cups too. You'll need to drill the dash  but the gauge cup covers it. Then remove the radio and the install is a piece of cake. IMO the dash pod location is the safest to monitor the gauges while driving. Plenty of room for a SS cable.

Any auto stereo installer has the proper "keys" that slip in on either side of the radio allowing its removal. Have them unlock it from the bracket. When done just snap it back in.

That sucks. Usually the stock radios come out with four pieces of cut coat hanger.
