plug and play..somehting like an edge comp or an ez?

any experience.



buddys truck is brand new and hes worried bout the warranty so no tuners or programmers downloader whatever ya call em...

Guess I don't understand. No tuners, programmers, or downloaders...what is it he's looking for then? He is correct about voiding the warranty. Doesn't matter what it is, if it plugs into or changes the programming, it will be detected by the ECM.

just a plug in deal. no downloaders. they told him if it wasnt on the truck that it wouldnt void the warranty. im just lookin for some experience

Edge has a couple of choices for the 08 GM trucks.
How's he going to hide the pyro probe from the dealer? ;Really

a buddy of mine has a TS on his duramax he loves it and the company says it is the only chip that can be taken out and the the dealership cant find a trace of it with any computers or diagnostic tests

There is no way to "chip" any of these new trucks. The last "chip" in a truck was in the 7.3L Strokes. You'll need a tune, a box, or a programmer to up the power by adjusting the ECM.

That said, you can go to most local speed shops who have EFI Live computers and get a custom tune from them. This tune adjusts the fueling parameters of the ECM. Only way to know if it's modified is to read the ECM programming. The downside is if the dealership flashes the ECM for any reason, you're back to stock levels.
