My question is do both batteries start your truck or just one ?
And I have 2 Northstar AGM Batteries and I believe they are 1200 cold cranking amps each. The model is a Northstar 65 AGM and the truck is a 1994F 250 4x4 7.3 IDI with Turbo.

I can start my truck using 1 group 65 Interstate.

Both batteries are used during starting and for everything else all of the time assuming they are still wired from the factory.

Not sure if that answers your question.

I did some calculations the other day. I figured that about 3/5 of the current draw comes from the passenger side battery, and 2/5 from the driver side. That long cable running across the front of the truck has significant resistance, compared to the rest of the shorter cables.

I have started by F250 from a single battery before, put in on the passenger side, since it's closer to the starter. The dual batteries are partly for the glow plug load too.

I could get away with a single 1000cca battery (either side) in the summer through late fall (rarely stays below freezing where I live). It's ******* the starter, but it can be done in a pinch. Long term, I wouldn't advise it.

Yeah, I just did it once or twice.
