AT to MT. Reverse lights what am i doing wrong?

truk converted to manual. Have to keep mlps sensor hooked up or ot wont crank. i cut thr black and black with pink wires from mlps and hooked it to thr mt reverse switch, no lights. tried hooked a jumper from white/pnk to p/o, no lights. What am i doing wrong?
Yes bulbs good, switch in tranny good.

the last two ive messed with i eliminated that switch too.....just spliced the two red w/ blue stripe wires together... means you can start in gear but that can be handy to have

Theyres only one red with blue strip wire going to the sensor.

skim through this I just did it and my lights work great.

Your reverse lights are purple/orange(power in) and black/pink(power out to lights). Make sure you have power on the purple/orange wire with the key on. If you do, twist this wire together with the black/pink, and the lights should burn all the time. Then you can go from there.

Frank, if i disconnect the purple orange wire from the mlps and loop it with black pink, wont the truck only start when the 5spd is in reverse?

Yeah even on mine in the link there is lots of info. My head was spinning tracing those wires!
