anyone know serpentine belt length ?

My truck is Non A/C do theres just a bypass there and it does not have a leece nevill alternator, I bought a $32 belt from advance auto to replace mine because it glazed, I took the old on off and got the new one routed but it was extremely tight, had to remove alternator with tensioner on its stop to get it on, finally did and got about 80 miles out of it and it ripped out one of the grooves on the belt, thankfully I got home and took out the original belt that I saved and put it back on hassle free, the belt from advance is
110 1/2" long I went to napa to get a new one this time and got one that is 112 5/8" long the guys all came out and looked at the truck said it should work good, so does anyone know the length? also need to get a new A/C bypass pulley because the bearing in it is ruined now and has slop

The length will be on the original belt. If you run the short 110 1/2 belt you need the belt over the top of the vacuum pump pulley. This is not the required side of the pulley and it will start to slip after some use. The 112 1/2 will work following the oem routing. I think the oem belt is no longer available. It was motorcraft F4TA-8620-XA and it was 111 1/2 inches long....

thanks for your post I canfixall going to install the new pulley for the A/C bypass so that if it does decide to throw the belt it will be my old one, will have to pick up the pulley tomorrow

my truck has a/c and it says 111 on the belt.

When you guys install a belt on the serpentine system where is the adjustment pointer on the tensioner pointing to.... There is a go no go mark setup that needs to be checked. Just cause you can fit a belt has no meaning that its the correct belt.

I had read of such as pertaining to the tensioners on our Cummins engines, but that bit of wisdom got knocked way towards the back when I rammed my head into the low floor-joists in the barn hall.
