These are "shims" found under the rocker arm assembly bolt for each intake valve on one head. As mentioned previously this is a remanufactured engine. I'm curious how common this practice is and how effective.

I dunno, but there's a reason why you can order pushrods by length, I will throw it out there for context.


I got a reman 350 mouse thru a connected buddy from Kragen auto.
It was a longblock, the pushrods and rockers were used..... I called the remanufacturer on the invoice, the hillbillies that answerd the phone said that pushrods and rockers/shafts "dont wear out" you could see rub marks on the rods from over rpm flex.

Your mileage will vary.

I don't think navistar has a part number for those.
But I see a use if you milled the heads
( that's a different conversation) so let's see what the boys say they have more experience with these.
I'm going on my first 40k of usage.
