Best place IMVHO is right at the oil filter adaptor-- remove plug and insert fitting;Sweet

I truly hope you are going mechanical ..... I used a #3 steel braided NOS rated pre-made line that you can get at any performance shop in place of the cheezy plastic line or trying to use some 1/8" copper .......

While you are at it, going to a mechanical water temp gauge ain't a bad idea

EH?...you can go to any performance parts store and look at the NOS section and find the #3- 1000 psi rated line in 5' length for less than $20....IMVHO cheap insurance against chitty plastic line and far less vibration failure of copper.

And just how much do you think "quality" mechanical gauges cost, that won't rupture inside the cab from the 100 psi + cold weather start ups?.... ;Really

You are in the older diesel powered truck game....so if you wanna play..

..geeze....never mind  .............................

Play what? Everything works fine in both my trucks :) even with my cheap mechanical gauges - not looking to set any land speed records here...

OK...a question was posted asking for suggestions wanting to install aftermarket gauges....so in effect you are "playing"....no harm---no foul ....

but I am offended that you are offended that my "suggestion" is not being thrifty on a site designed for DIY mods and increasing the life and performance.....

I am not one to be "above all" in my actions.....I was under the impression we are here to help one another ...not question ones integrity................

In the future I will ask the financial status/attitude before I post.....

In reply to geonc : Cheap is seldom good , and good is seldom cheap ! Some people in this world do not understand that "quality" usually comes with a price tag. If a person can't pay the fiddler - - - do not come to the dance.

A fool and his money are soon parted...

Are we done with proverb quotes ;Really

No reason for attitude here

It is generally considered a slap in the face when solicited questions are met with unappreciative sarcasm on the chance the answer is not what you want to hear......ask 10 people and you will get at least 5 different answers...respect and common sense "should" tell one to accept all and form your own opinion---what I believe is the purpose of forums such as ours.

Dude, no one is unappreciative - I made a comment about people's willingness to spend alot of money on things. If you took it wrong thats your business.

"Dude"---How this site appears to others--IS MY BUSINESS!

Any ideas on where I should stick the sender? 2001 PSD

Your orig question...and I replied with a prime location and a "suggestion" of line to use

Your subsequent replies were accusatory and any form of appreciation was missing---weather you did not get the answer you wanted or to lash out at those willing to spend a dollar for the results wanted.....

Regardless .....I am done with this :puke:
