Working on something else I discovered what I believe is a broken vacuum solenoid for the AC.
I planned on using a piece of heat shrink to couple it back together unless anyone knows of a female type coupling available that won't restrict the already small ID.

Get some vacuum hose from the parts store that fits snug. I tried the heat shrink on the washer hose and when the engine bay got hot it softened up and let go.

That is used with AC but it's not only for the AC. That's the recirculation/fresh air door. Vacuum closes it to allow recirculation instead of sucking in outside air. It's also pulled closed when the heat is off to prevent air blowing through the vents going down the road when the heat is set to off.
