96 PSD Major blue/white smoke

Got a 96 PSD with 152 000 miles and about 500 miles ago it started idling really rough after starting it cold, or after a long hard pull. It blows alot of really light blue smoke untill totally warmed up (20 mins goin down the road) and it feel like it has lost some power. Today I was hauling a load of bales and it looked like it was blowing alot of white smoke for the first 10 minutes and then it cleared up. I got to my destination 10 miles down to raod and it was running really smoothly at an idle. Truck sat for almost 2 hrs there and then when I drove it home, it was normal, ran smooth n no smoke at all. Could this be an injector? Or maybe Turbo seal goin out? Its not using any oil or antifreeze and no sign/smell of fuel in the oil. Thanks for any input.

Anybody know what the problem might be? Im thinkin it could be a sticking EBPV or possibly a injector or 2. What do you guys think?

I would bet a sixer on the EBPV first.......unplug it and see

The high exhaust back pressure caused by the closed valve will show oil smoke.

There is also a steel tube from the front of the RB exh manifold to a sensor at the RF of the HPOP resivour ----remove it and see if it is clear of exh carbon build up--- another gremiln of low power.

Remove the manifold fitting too, as it could be plugged as well.

I have had success using both PB Blaster and /or carb spray along with an old lawn mower throttle cable sleeve or speedo cable in a battery drill to auger out the crud.

My EBPV pipe was plugged badly. Never smoked but got really bad mpg. Bought a new pipe and mpg went up. Power went up too.

I would lean more towards injector or glowplug, my trucks do that too but I don't think it takes that long to clear up.
