I am out tearing it down out of the truck right now. Yep definitely ball joint. These are the Hubs I am referencing.

The reason I ask what it's worth is because I didn't think the 500+ rebuild is worth doing for a 2000 dollar truck w 230k miles and a rustoleum paint lol. I thought it might be more valuable off the truck vs in mine. Maybe 1000 if in lucky. Or part the hubs too.

Looks ok from a distance but it's not pretty

Exactly what towcat said is what I did, except driveshaft.

As I understand it, with a ZF5 or C6, you need the double-cardan because those transmission are shorter, thus you've got a shorter front driveshaft and more angle from tcase to axle. With an E4OD, you can get away with shortening the F250 "normal" driveshaft. I had 1.125" or 1.25" (can't remember) taken out of my shaft when I did my swap.

Can also just buy "H" yokes and Tcase yokes

$200 is a great deal if you got springs (aka the spring plate under the axle on the driver side) and the track bar.

I bought my pitman arm from NAPA

That's better than a $2000 truck if you keep making it better than it was ;Poke

Hitch looks good back there :D

I don't know what they go for in that area but around here for a ball joint axle in unknown condition that may be a touch high.

These guys are in your neck of the woods and may be able to help.

BJ D60 is about $600ish. Can buy whole BJD60 trucks for $1000 (in poor condition but you know what I mean).
KP D60 800-1200$

Bouhgt my front and rear axles from a 1994 f350 near Chicago as a pair for $800 and it included everything but pitman arm. There are a few people asking more than $1000 for BJ D60 (no rear springs/blocks) but I dunno who would pay that.

I agree with Greg on prices, but I can't seem to find whole trucks for $1000, more like $1200-$1500.

Thanks guys. I figure it would end up there but you know how the Craigslist thing goes.... "asking 1000" generates the "will you take 300?" offers :p
