alright my neighbor brought something to my attention. That I should go ahead and rip the cabinets out of the inside of the ambulance and transfer the suspension, front and rear bumpers, and as much of the interior of of my 98 into/onto the 92.

I'd still like to install a turbo on the IDI to increase it's performance, and it appears Hypermax is the only one that makes a kit for them anymore.

At just under 100K miles is there anything I should replace before considering a turbo? Injector pump? Injectors? Anything?

Thanks

Have a close look at the fuel system before you tear it apart. Again this was an ambulance. They are usually very well maintained. I'd hate to see you tear into it and it has new components.

transfering your stuff to the IDI might not be such a bad idea afterall. I mean the suspension didn't change, the dash did but not like the ergonomics changed drastically. The old lights would be what would annoy the heck out of me.

the old dash lights?

the radio looks a bit tricky since the cut out has rounded corners.

The exterior lights are the same but the tail lights on the 92 have an amber section on the housing...but I could change those out with the 98's

The rear tails are 3 bulb units on the 92, the 98 is 2 bulb. The 92 radio should be a typical single din ford rectangle. The 98 would be din and a half.

The dash lights are waaay different. No way the 98 stuff would fit. Hence why i said leave the 98 cluster in the 98 and just shove the diesel in and add on a glow plug indicator and stand alone tranny controller. I also like the newer clusters, they seemed to be lit so much better.
