7.3 to 460

I was just wondering if anyone has ever gone from a 7.3 to a 460. I have a 460 sitting in my shop and was wondering if and when my 7.3 gives up the ghost I would build a nice 460 for my 89 F-250

The transmission bellhousing is different. If I remember correctly, you can redrill mount holes on a 460 transmission to fit a 7.3 but most likely not the other way around. Also the wiring harness would be very different due to the 460 being computer controlled (unless you are planning on going carbureted)

If a automatic , transmissions are set up different , converter , shift pressures. And you really need a complete engine, everything.
