7.3 idi oil leaking above strater

I have a 88 f 250. Noticed oil leaking its coming from above the starter. Any ideas.

If its landing on the starter, its probably coming from the valve cover on that side. But thats just a guess.

Its dry on the top of motor. But wet below the exhaust. The oil is running down the side of oil pan the starter for the most part is dry. Thanks though will double check.

It could be your seals around your cdr leaking and then draining from intake valley drain.

Welcome to the forum. Way back in the intake valley pan area is the drain for any fluids that get into the pan. The only way they can drain off the engine is over the starter. This drain hole is nearly impossible to see. Its under the CDR valve so its back behind the intake air horn. Many different problems can make fuel leak into the pan and then it collects dirt and finally drains off the starter looking like oil.

Thanks so much. So is there a way I can clean this and check to make sure its not a oil leak. It does not appear that the oil level has changed much since I have noticed the leak.
