I replaced the head gasket on my 94 6BT. Pretty straight forward. Get the Chilton manual for your truck and a engine hoist. the head weights 189 pounds. There are 2 rubber plugs in the wiper transom valley right over the back of the head, remove them as this will allow you to pull the head bolts and pushrods out so you can get the head out. the last cylinder and half are under the dash. Follow torque instructions exactly as described in manual. Buy a cummins head gasket or a MLS gasket for your engine and be aware of the thickness as they come in several thicknesses. Good luck!
