something like this with some barb fitting added to attach a hose from the valve to the water seporator.

you should be able to find what you need easily at any hardware store

Ball valves are an excellent solution for this problem. I have one on my air compressor drain that has been in constant service for about 20 years. Not a leak yet. They aren't pretty, but they do the job.

10-4 so at the bottom of it put one of them and will sove any problems in the future
