Yeah so the fix was a bad voltage regulator. It was drawing 3.5A from the batteries when the old one was hooked up. I tested it with a parasitic draw test. Just hooked the meter up in series and when it was plugged in I had 3.5. When I unplugged it it was at 0. Bought a new Motorcraft regulator from summit racing. It looks exactly like the original one.
