This thread reminds me when I was growing up putting together plastic model cars. Most of the model kits gave you 2 or 3 different options when putting the kit together with different engines, wheels, etc. I would never throw all the extra parts away, so I had this big box of misc engines, trannies, wheels. I would get with my cousin and we would start gluing different engines into different cars, different wheels, etc.

A lot of fun and some crazy stuff would come out of that. Much more fun to glue a model car engine in, than modifying a pickup with a large truck engine. So you all have fun talking, but remind yourself how much fun you are having trying to actually fit all this stuff in place.

So your saying remove rear axle and put leafs on? The fab work won't be much I have access to torch and welder. I'm liking this idea. I really want a turbo motor and winch so I'll do some more searching.

i used to do the same thing franklin. one i remember is a 32 ford roadster body on a cj5 frame with a 2 stroke detroit under the hood into the stock jeep axles with big ag tires on it. lol i would "build" liftkits for them by slowly heating and rearching the springs. same thign to extend the driveshafts. lol i still got some unopened models in my closet for a rainy day to play with. lol
