2012 E-350 shift intelock

Guys is thee any way to permanently remove or by pass the shift interlock on a '12 E-350? I cant see spending money on something like this...... I dont see the need for it anymore......sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.... I feel this way:if you dont need one on a stick shift vehicle, why put it in a vehicle with a automatic tranny??? No common sense here! Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

If it just interrupts the signal to the starter solenoid, just run a wire from the battery through a momentary contact switch in the cabin to the starter solenoid. That is how I bypassed the interlock on a '96 Subaru. Push button start is nifty, anyway!

If your talking about the step on the brake to shift the trans, You might be able to simply unplug it.
It might be nothing more than a solenoid which is powered with the key on. Key off and it might not be engaged. Ford did that back in the 2000 model year. It might not have changed. That solenoid should be under the column.
