Welcome Ron. The part that you're missing is called the down pipe. I believe that you can still buy new down pipes. They will be improved over the factory ones too. The factory ones were squished pretty flat while the new ones are all round tubing.

Thank you both for your replies & welcoming me. I’m assuming Summit has a website or should I go through banks? Ron Schaeffer

Summit Racing does have a website. I buy from them occasionally. ven though they started out as a supplier for race car parts (I believe) they carry a lot more than just that. A lot of times, they are the cheapest place to find parts for our IDI trucks. I also wouldn't hesitate to look at Banks directly either. They have excellent support for the products that they make. I feel that it's an outstanding company to deal with. Gale Banks, the owner, is very passionate about his work.

The factory turbo exhaust elbow used a V-band clamp to attach the down pipe, and the pipe was flattened for firewall clearance. My turbo has a 3” slip fit on it, and the pipe is a full 3” all the way. I believe it was an upgrade available from ATS at the time. Im pretty sure the banks 52105 won’t fit unless your turbo has a V-band flange.

That’s not correct. These are Powerstroke down pipes. I apologize, it seems my search engine thought it new better than what I was looking for. 52105 is the Banks PSD down pipe.

If this is a stock 1994 turbo IDI and not an aftermarket turbo, this is the one you want... https://www.summitracing.com/parts/GBE-52103
It fit correctly and though I modified mine it will work right out of the box with minimal firewall modification. You will need the correct V-band clamp as well.

Obviously I’m not real mechanical but my friend told me it doesn’t even have the V connector on the turbo exit. The exhaust is coming straight out of the turbo any idea where I could find that? Thx I’m advance

Ron, post a picture of what you do have, contact Wes at Classic Diesel Design and see if he has the elbow you appear to be missing. Without seeing what you have, it is guesswork for the rest of us.

This is my factory turbo. And the down pipe looks like this.

There’s a slotted tab welded to the down pipe that connects to the stud for the crossover pipe with a twisted piece of flat bar. That is the only thing holding it in place. Check out the parts diagram I posted earlier.

Thx TN Brett. Here are some photos of what I have.I already ordered the downpipe from Summit racing GBE52103 as recommended by another person. Do you know if this connects directly to what I have?
