Hello all,

I have seen some great posts on here that have helped me in the past but I have a new problem I can’t seem to find.

I have a 1994.5 PSD.

Put new injectors and turbo in around 300 miles ago all was fine. Started it up left the grocery store and saw a puff of white smoke then a constant trail. Got home popped the hood and could hear a pop every so often. That led me to believe it was a bent push rod. Pulled the valve covers no beans everything looked fine. I tried pulling the injector harness one by one to see if I could get the smoking to stop. It seems to let up when I pull passenger side front but the smoke is still present. The smoke does burn my eyes so that made me thing it was coolant. Reservoir is more full than I remember but no coolant in oil. Fuel pressure is good constant 60psi. After all that I was messing with again and the pop is gone no longer to be heard which has thrown me off. Took oil cap fill off while running and it puffs white smoke but does not have blow by I can set the cap on it and it won’t move. I’m thinking cracked injector cup? But I’m at a loss hopefully one of you have seen this before.

If it’s acrid and burning your eyes it’s diesel. Coolant would have a sweet antifreeze smell. White smoke is unburned fuel. White steam is coolant. I would check coolant overflow tank as a precaution. If there’s fuel in coolant you’ll see it floating on top. Sounds like one or more of your injectors are weeping fuel and not sealing.

Just pulled some coolant from the radiator found a faint swirl/shine but it still smells like straight coolant. Pulled some from the overflow tank and found no swirl and looks clean.

Full force diesel. I have ordered from them in the past. I believe they’re rebuilt from old cores with new internals.
