I have a 1987 Ford E-350 Landmark. My fuel/ water seperator is leaking back. It doesn't have an " OIL FILTER TYPE " . It looks like it's CRIMPED around the top. How does a person CHANGE this or ???

Most of us eliminate the factory one because it is basically "air intrusion central" after 40yrs. Some guys will actually "rebuild" it with new orings and seals.

Follow others advice - and replace the unit. I used a Racor R45 unit, which both fit the bolt pattern on my firewall and fit the screw pattern of the input / output lines. Aside from the brass plumbing components to screw into the unit, its plug compatible. Other people have used the R90 with some relocation, and many more used other brands. Search the archives of this forum and you will find many implementations - with photos (mine is in here somewhere). Nearly all start with a marine unit like the Racor, or its non-marine equivalent.

Some have simply eliminated the unit - which is not advisable, and in some geographic lications is really, really not advisable. Many implement electronic fuel pumps at the same time. In my case, I replaced the lift pump, which is what lead to the discovery of my vacuum leak problems - the afore mentioned 40 year old stock air fuel separator, which had rotted out from the bottom - so you could not see the problem...

Like @IDIBOBS - Replace it.

When I bought the 86 back in 2014, the Factory Filter was there, but the 2 hoses were connected together to by pass it.
Later I installed a Racor, but the 500FG in it`s place, and new hoses. Can use a 2, 10 and I think a 15 micron filter element inside it. I also have a hand Primer Pump installed along side of it.

I put a racor on the frame in the same spot as the missing water separator. You can see the original W/S plug on the left side.
