anyone done it? I got my new wheels yesterday in 19.5, seeing if anyone recommends the 225/70 or 245/70? I’m leaning towards 225 for stock size and best gearing

I knew a roofer who had them on his 2000 f350. He loved them. Loaded heavy it handled great and he got amazing wear out of them. Not sure what size he went with but I would guess the bigger size for highway cruising. He had the ZF 6 with the lower first gear to get a heavy trailer moving and if that wasn’t enough he could always put it in 4x4 low to get moving. He had it way overloaded on many occasions and never had a problem.

Thanks guys, yep I picked up a set of 225/70r19.5 yesterday. Figured I want as close to stock gearing as possible. I’ll be so happy to get rid of the 35’s! Picked up my balance beads and my vision heavy hauler wheels arrived yesterday so I’m excited

Assuming on dually setup? I’ve always had mine. Stock Alcoa 8x170 all around.

I bought them from my local ire guy, they weren’t bad 175$ a wheel and they’re 19.5 on 8x170mm. But I believe he also carries them in the older 8x6.5. They are vision heavy hauler 81’s

I was going to go with a 245/70 but it’s aost a 34 inch tire. The 225 is about a 32 so it’s much better gearing
