working on a 01 F350 7.3 CCC SB
fighting a loss of power issue.
the ECU was throwing a injection control pressure failure,
found the ICP to be full of oil....
i changed that sensor (motorcraft), and no change.
when under throttle the ICP psi does not climb above 700 psi.
and climbs to 65%
i purchased a IPR (motorcraft) and just swapped it out.
still no change.
the IPR pigtail looked toast, so i replaced that as well.
i deadheaded the pump, and it produced 3500 psi

i have not dove into the injectors yet,
could this be a injector O ring thats blown out?
HPOP just done?

Did you replace the ICP connector?
It could be orings. Pull valve covers and look around the base of the injectors for leaks.

Don't know why, but it seems anything that goes wrong is usually on the drivers side. To check the injector O'rings, pull cover on drivers first, there should be oil squirting up at each injector, you'll see it, if one or more don't squirt up the same, then it's O'rings on that one.

You sure the O'ring on the oil rail(s) HP line are not leaking? Oil would be in the VP if they are, hard to see.

there is some oil in the VP, but I know some of it is coming from the timing cover/hpop res
I have a 97 cover, and a 01 res.
I used the gasket with the screen.
and have never got it to seal right since.
ive read that this can crack the cover, so theres 1 potential issue.

think its time to just pull the engine.
and with that said, I have a fresh set of heads.
and ill be building a short block here shortly.
I tried patching it, but id rather pull the engine than doing injector O-rings LOL
injectors are AA's from a 97,
I should just put it on the back burner until the engine is complete.....

If you do replace the injector O'rings, make sure you know how to get rid of the oil that will go into the cylinders.
