Thank you all for your advise. I have a 72 F600 with the 330V8/Clark 5/Two speed rear. Have a few IDIs, and would like to replace that gas engine with one. It has the industrial motor mounts so I might need the Clark adapter. Just trying to work this thing out. Most likely use her for some...
What trans would you recommend? I have a Clark 5 speed at the moment from a 330 gaser. Do you think a standard ZF-5/ZF-6 would hold up in an F600? Thanks.
Driving my 90 F350 when suddenly lost power and engine shut down. Would restart with much effort, run for a while then same thing. This happened about a dozen times on the way back to the house. She has a new filter and new fuel pump so guessing it must be the injection pump. Thoughts? Thanks.
Anyone ever come up with the perfect idler pulley to take the slack out of the alternator belt so it will live longer? Searched for it but got nothing but serpentine. Thanks.
Trying to put a 7.3L IDI in a 72 F600 with the 330 gas in it. Uses Industrial mounts as there are no spots for traditional motor mounts. Was thinking International IDI mounts. Looking for options.
Which transmission is in it? I am working on an IDI and need info on the industrial mounts. Could you send me a few pics of the motor/trans mounts? Thanks.
You should be able to get keys from the dealer. If for some reason you cannot, I once saw a video on drilling out the cylinder. You can then install a new one with a matching key.
Anyone know the distance between the motor mounts on these things? Any available plans for an engine stand/frame? Anyone played with the industrial mounts and how they differ from regular mount locations? Do you have to remove front accesories and relocate them or are there bolt holes for it...
So I got my hands on the motor from the above listed truck. 179K. Said it ran but not well. Need to build a stand for it and figure out what is what. Perhaps try to start it on the stand and see what not well is. Got everything but the down pipe and the intake to the ATS box. No oil in it...
The Walbro FRB-13 pump lists four models. Two in twelve volt and two in twenty four. They are either a 6-7.5 psi or an 8-11 psi. Which is recommended? Thanks.
