    make sure to check the egr valve.... sounds like alot of carbon built up in the intake. just pop it out and take a look! very simple to do.

    injector problem........

    well found out by cracking injector lines that cyl. 1 has missfire removed injector and it looked real dry and carboned up. i only drove it for about 100mi missing and hope no major damage is done. now i checked dealership today and found out that injectors cost about $50 each, or it looks like...

    yes the black smoke and noise you described would be related to the turbo vanes sticking. the turbo on this engine is a vgt turbo (varible geometry turbo) it uses a solenoid to controls vanes witch allow exhaust air to control compression side of turbo. your discription sound like the unison...
