    6.9 High idle switch

    Idle oil pressure is pretty low on these engines, might be proper to idle it up for extended periods. I do. Wire up the hi idle solenoid.

    Back in the day my '86 had a fsb that called for the removal of a 1" metal bumper on the back of the clutch pedal. Fixed the long standing dragging clutch disengagement problem.

    Just a stock '86 6.9 filter head. figuring it should be after filter for air purging..... but you never know! Thought I could get a good pressure/flow indication there. Thanks again.

    New truck need help 1994 7.3 IDI Factory Turbo

    My experience.......When swapping a factory turbo '94 7.3 into my '86 with the 6.9 stick shift flywheel it shook badly. Installed listed turbo flywheel shake gone and running beautifully 12 years later. Engine also ran smooth with factory flex plate.

    That previous post about the rust on your air cleaner cover should be your number one concern and project. A hydro-locked engine makes zero egt.

    Does that ATS 0101 housing replicate the original ATS 093 upgrade housing with the 3" slip fit?

    My '94 F350 came to me w/a '97 E4od that had the solenoid pack/mlps changes mentioned above. Plows snow and runs good with the added large cooler.

    7.3 IDI Injector Stuck in Head

    They 'could be' fine but historically they are near the end of their dependable life. Thing is, a new pump should accompany an injector change out so if $$ are short hopefully that old one will work until pump and injectors are an option.

    Careful. If you hook up exhaust and it is leaking that is a potential run away.
