After I replaced my return lines and caps, it took a month or so before it would start-up without turning over several seconds. I think the new caps and o-rings take a little bit of running to seal good enough to prevent air from entering the system? give it a few days..maybe a week. They will...
I would say someone tried to make something work. The grommet that comes with replacement gasket sets, will not fit our 93-94 IDI factory turbo pedestal. Nebraska is showing the correct grommet. You have to buy it seperatly from ATS or someone ( body armor??).
The kit I recieved from ATS has the correct gromment !!!!!!!! The gromment in the Fel-Pro gasket set is NOT the correct gromment for the factory waste-gated turbo.
Ordered a kit from ATS that supposed to work. I understand that ATS was bought in 03 and some people have had problems getting parts...I'll keep you guys informed....

Hi Ben, That is a discontinued item. We tried a national search for you but no dealers stocking... Thanks, Robert
The newer factory installed turbo with wastegate, it is smaller than the supplied intake gromment from fel-pro. The older add on non-waste-gated turbo has a bigger drain tube and fits the factory size crd gromment. This is what I have determined from ATS. ATS has a kit for both.
That was the other question..I plan on buying a new fel-pro intake valley pan. I was going to call them to see if it included the grommet. Thanks guys. The previous owner run the truck hot and cracked the passanger side head in 2 places around the intake valve. Used head is on the way. Next...
the factory cdr is a diff part number...of course they didn't have any in stock, and they come 4 to a pack, I have to buy all 4. I have no way to compare the 2......Help anyone???
I'll call ATS and Banks...great ideas!
The rubber gromet at the back of the intake, where the turbo pedsital drains oil to the intake is no longer avalible from Ford. I have not checked with International. I can't find it from autozone or advance. I plan to cal Fel-Pro tommorrow. Any other ideas???
I'm having hard starting when hot issues also. It was bad enough to where I would give it a shot of WD-40 to start it. Brand new starter, batteries, and even heavy duty jumper cables and no start. It helped to let it idle for a few seconds be fore shutting it off.
go to this link, click at the 93-94. It has a nice color picture section on how to remove the turbo...best write-up I've seen.

That weight will not kill your truck. Start out slow. Keep an eye on the pyrometer. I would think it will do as good as the GM 6.5. I'm not sure what to say about rpms. I have an auto(overdrive) with 4.10 gears, I run around 2,000 RPMs.
Check the timming also. Mine was off and it didn't look like the bolts on the pump had ever been touched(factory paint). A little off makes a LOT of differance. I think you got a steal of a price!!
Why yes I do remember regular gas.... and yes we lost the lubricity for the valve seats. I haven't torn down my 75 int scout engine to see what damage has occurred, not that there is none, but I don't really know too many that have. I guess a chat with some local shops (mostly older rigs in our...
