2500 gas job to 12 valve
the 5spd on in your truck will work but you need to find a cummins bellhousing and imputshaft. best way to do all that is call peter up and south bend clutch. he does alot of stuff lke that with guys and everything he sells is A-1 stuff. DM01- dodgeman01

differences between 160 and 215 hp p pumps
yes and no. there is more than just the 160 and 215 pumps. theres the 18 and 185 and the one 175 and if your really unlucky you get a 145hp based pump that is turned up to 160 or 170 if you have a really old 94 like I had. the difference is not just in how much fuel they put out. there is some...- dodgeman01

Clutch???????????????
SBC's the only way to go. I have 3 diesel dodges and they all have south bends. I tried a few others like center force and even a mccloud Dual disc but the SBC is all I'll use. best service in the business DM01- dodgeman01

Exhaust manifold 5.9 vs 6.7
I don't think so. I know a guy who twined a 7.6 and in order for it to fit he used a 5.9 manifold. so something has to be different. DM01- dodgeman01

4.7,5.9,V10 or Hemi's
we have a 95 3500 dually 4x4 auto with a 5.9 360 and 4.10's Its not a power house but all we do is tow a bobcat trackhoe and trailer which weight is at about 16K pounds with everything we carry. in 11 years is has been un hooked 4 times and only once for a problem (intake gasket) all the rest...- dodgeman01

Which South Bend?
Just get the SBC dd street and never buy another clutch again LOL I mean its only like 1700 for the clutch and 800 for the imputshaft if this is for a 5spd. Love my DD puller now I'm just waiting to get the tranny back in so I can drive the dang thing lol DM01 :mad:- dodgeman01

I would get this clutch for a few reasons. 1 it is less grabby than the highest HP single disc clutch SBC offers 2 it will hold more HP than the largest single disc clutch SBC offers 3 you can hook to a sled and slip it not haveing to worrie about burning it up or it not hooking up. 4...- dodgeman01

south Bend Street/puller DD clutch
Just bought and installed a SBC DD clutch. I got the street/pulling clutch which runs the street material with a pulling Pressure plate with a plate load of 3800 pounds instead of 4200 pounds like the puller. The pedal was really stiff for the first 100 miles but is now starting to loosen up...- dodgeman01

stupid bug
if you have the 180 pump like mine you will be ok. I mean I can hit the 1500* mark if I want but I can still control it. I had a lot of problems with the 370's and will be getting the lasercut DV's soon so I hope it will fix my problems. DM01- dodgeman01

How many miles on your 6.5?
My uncle has a 97 6.5 auto 2x4 king cab 3500. Its a nice looking truck and The inside is really nice. it has around 120k and has had 3 injection pumps started and a steering box. other than that it has been a good truck. What chips and such are you guys running on your 7.3's
I have a friend who owns two Fords. an 02 auto 2x5 dually and a 5spd 4x4 96 PSD At what HP level will the stock clutch on the 96 start to slip? and how about the auto what HP range would be safe? they pull a 13k pound camper with it. thanks DM01- dodgeman01
