    100% it has ½" head bolts instead of 7/16", it house the round cooling ports at the corners of the cylinder deck, ect.

    No, but you kind of answered you own question in your last paragraph. For every person I've had talk about how the 7.3's cavitate, I've had 10 tell me how they've never had an issue. So idk, we'll see i guess.

    Thanks for the info. But you definitely don't have to worry about going .010" or .020 over. The person I was replying to was trying to act like any kind of boring on the cylinder wall was dangerous.

    I figured it would probably after the first of the year. Hopefully I'll hear back from him and I can get at least rings if not rings, pistons, and rods. I'm still thinking about going with a cam from him. That what the only thing that had wear on it was the cam and the rollers.

    I sent him an email last week actually and haven't heard anything back yet. Oh and I can get a wastegate delete with a 3" hoodstack or downpipe with that turbo kit for just another $350.

    Mine isn't factory turboed. Plus I thought that none of the idi's came with a turbo from the "factory". I thought it was a special order thing that the dealers had some 3rd party put on.

    I figured if I went with a reputable brand i shouldn't have to worry too much, but you're right, why fix what ain't broke. It's pretty easy to find parts, if you look. I was thinking of going with new heads because I can't find anyone near me who does head work.

    I'm taking it to the machine shop in the morning. I've already found a rebuild kit with forged pistons and connecting rods. Why not run better internals if i have the money?

    They say that, but you can bore them 0.020", 0.030", up to 0.040" over. 0.010" is nothing really, just enough to freshen everything up. Plus, like I said I'm going to put a turbo on it, so I'd like to go with stronger internals.
