T18 shifter pin malfunction
Thoughts on a repair for a busted out shift tower pin on a T18? The whole area is broken out on top of the trans. Has anyone been able to repair this? Thanks y'all! Btw... ain't been on here in several months of Sundays but recently picked up a neat ol 86 f250 6.9 4x4!- 4x4TruckinGirl

enough venting for intercooler?
honestly, i'd use the smaller intercooler if given the choice of doing it again OR not even putting an intercooler on the truck at all......I don't really think it gave much of an improvement, but that's just my opinion....- 4x4TruckinGirl

snicklas.... your out jackson county thataway, my mechanic lives out there..... im about 6.5 miles from i 75 in berea (exit 76)..... haha, yea 55 is the standard here in kentucky it seems, when in doubt go 55! hahaa.... you passed the road i live on and its a 55mph road too....some curves you can hardly take at 35.....- 4x4TruckinGirl

Hard starting

yes thats me..... no you didn't want that truck.... oddly enough the trucks several owners since i've sold it all call me about it.... quite funny.... it's in ohio somewhere now, they "claim" they're gunna put a cummins in it.... but i doubt it..... some not so smart individual cut the stacks...- 4x4TruckinGirl

How do you like your 12 valve cummins truck??
I've towed with fords (7.3 powerstrokes years 97, 99, 2000, 2001, 7.3 IDI's turboed, 6.9s) and dodges (my 12 valve) and (2002 5.9's and 2005 5.9's) So, the 12 valve does great, gets great fuel mileage and has adequate power at all stock settings. I don't know what the scoop is on the rear end there, i rolled the truck back and inspected all the ring gear bolts were there, I mean obviously it came from somewhere but I didn't see it. exhaust
diesel motors don't need backpressure (not really fer sure on the reasoning, something to do with the compression maybe? i dunno...) but as everyone mentioned 4" best.... I have a 3" DP to 4" then 5" stacks, and it's purty loud but nothing too rediculous...- 4x4TruckinGirl

7.3 hard warm start
Might be yer IP ...... if your sure it's NOTHING else but your IP you can take some lukewarm water and pour it on top of your pump after it's set for the 30 minutes or whatever and if the truck starts up significantly better it the pump, but I wouldn't do that until you rule everything else out...- 4x4TruckinGirl
