    FUEL OR NOT TO FUEL

As for dyed fuels here in Idaho it exactly the same... Dyed or undyed... But the Dyed fuel carries roughly $2,000 dollar per gallon fine for using it. As for kerosene it will distroy a VP44 is a short order being the lubricity of the fuel is way too dry. Even Bosch admit that there fuels...

    Fuel Mileage - Be Honest

Ahhhh... This is where I got you... ;Really The ScanGauge II can be calibrate more accurate than the overhead idiot. Like stock truck speedometer/odometer like my own is off a small percentage... Like I'm off 0.5 MPH so in my full tank run checking with my ScanGauge II and my GPS (Garmin GPS...

    cold starts ?

Give you a clue... I can start my truck with the grid heater unplugged all the way down to 32*F above without thinking twice. After that down to 0*F I need at least 1 cycle of the grid heater and it fires up... Below 0*F I need 2 cycle of the grid heater... But normally in the summer time I...

    replacement brake pads

I will meet that mark as well with my factory pads on my 2002... The biggest thing to hlep with braking power is a exhaust brake. So far I've got over 60% of my pads left at 125K miles and no problems...;Sweet So I would highly recommend a exhaust brake if you chewing up pads in 30K...

Everyone here has good point... But if the shaking occurs while braking the it brake related. (Rotors, etc) If the shaking is while coasting then I would look at wheel bearing, drive shaft, u-joints, etc...

Your thoughts on this Fuel Treatment

Looks rather promising but... 1. There is no meantion of improving HFRR values. Most of todays diesel fuel barely meets the 520 HFRR standard which in most cases doesn't meet the standards of LSD design trucks of 350-460 HFRR... More on this at...

    Which Fuel Pressure Gauge

Needle valve isn't closed enough... Mine is seated that barely even a 1* of turn... My gauge rises at a moderate pass but it don't snap to 16 PSI though... When the pump shuts down it takes nearly 1 to 2 full seconds to get to 0 PSI... Rattlin' mean the pulses are still making it to the...

    12v vs. 24v vs. ISB

As for the 24V I love the idea of plug N' play enhancements... The other fact is all my power is controllable in the cab... ;Sweet

    best cummins overall

For duraiblity I would say late 12V engines are the best out there... They tend to burn anything for fuel (WVO, WEO, Kerosene, JET A, etc...) But for easy of MODing the 24V engines are the best... Just plug n' play.. everything is adjustable from inside the cab compared to the 12V you got to...

    wmo = blue smoke ?

First of Cummins MAX allowance of WMO/WEO is 5% by volume (1.75 Gallons for 35 gallon tank). Even Cummins Centinel burn less that 5% volume of WMO/WEO. Not to mention the lubricity of the WMO/WEO is low so it might cause wear to you fuel system components... #13 is the WEO which doesn't...

MINMUM FUEL PRESSURE - 10 PSI MAXIMUM FUEL PRESSURE - 20 PSI So if you fall between this range you should be fine... But if the re-prime doesn't work more that likely the VP44 had died...

    Fuel gelling temperature

As for me... I've tested 2 cycle oil down to -20*F and never had a problem... Being that 2 cycle oil has a pour point down to as low as -50*F for snowmobile oils. You got to remember most all newer sleds (snowmobile) are oil injected so the oil had to stay liquid to be injected at very cold...
