    Pulling with an Auto

    Just pulled my 96 auto this weekend. It worked real good in drive, would hold about 2700 rpm's. I thought maybe it was lugging to much so I shifted to 2nd and the rpm's went to about 3500 and it slowed down. Went back to 3rd and went 294 before it spun out.     random stumble

    The other guy called superchip hotline and they told him to set the pin setting on lower settings. Don't know why but it seems to work for now. I'm going to put my tst box on tomorrow and see if it will work. It sure doesn't seem like a reasonable fix to me but I would try almost anything right now.

    I've posted this before but I'll ask again. Two of us have 2001.5 ho trucks with the same problem. Mine has about 97000 miles and other truck has about 54000 miles on them.     Synthetic lube..........

    I'm running rp in my six sp., it really made it shift smooth. Couple of guys with 5 sp. running red line and it made theirs shift alot better too. Me thinks about all the name brand syn. are of good quality and will work good in the manual trans. I wouldn't go back to the stock stuff at all.

    My brother bought a 94 auto unmolested truck. It runs good but after he rode in my truck he would like a little more power. What needs to be done to the auto to stand up to somewhere between 250 to maybe 300 horse. He pulls light loads but mostly just for transportation. Thanks
