I pulled my to hauler 30ft about 20 miles, It did ok but not real impressed with how the tranny ( E4OD ) shifted or better didn't shift. the open road was fine. overdrive shut off it got down the road fine i as able to do 55 to 60 mph with no issue but the tight winding road it didn't want to...- William Johnson

So running the 7.3 to the yellow or just under wont hurt when climbing ? as long as temps are good of course...They seem to be working pretty hard even at 2000 rpms but i'm thinking because it's my first diesel its just me worrying to much..- William Johnson

Reading some threads it sounds like the 7.3 NA idi wont tow for beans. Is this true ? If so, what were they made to do. I've got my first diesel, 1990 4x4 7.3 NA extra cab long bed Auto E4od. It runs and starts great and was hoping to tow a trailer ( not full time ) just get it down south to...- William Johnson
