Digging this up instead of posting a new one. When the high idle is off should there be a gap between the plunger and the throttle arm or should it be touching if adjusted correctly. Mine hasn't worked since I put the new pump on and trying to figure out if its and adjust issue or something else.
If you plan on a turbo then I would wait and do the IP and injectors then. The turbo will require more fuel and with the turbo you have a couple more options. I would talk to Mel or Justin about what turbo and IP to get. When you are looking at dropping $2k it pays to wait a little and do it once.
Honestly my radiator and washer res are both cracked anyway so I could just get rid of them. I do want to fix them eventually though. The washer res I could always get a different one and make it fit anywhere, it's the radiator one that I am more concerned about. If relocated the battery I...
Has anyone tried relocating to run a PSD intake box? I like the fact that it's behind the battery and out of the way. I would assume that the intake would bolt right in and would just need to fab up the connection to the turbo. Thoughts?
I had this same problem when I replaced my pump. I toasted a starter trying to get it to prime. Ended up the reman pump was bad. Switched it out for another and it started right up. Hope that isn't your problem but if you have done all the tricks and it still won't prime I'd contact the builder.
That is a damn nice truck. Sorry not much help with the leak. First thing I would do is degrease it and wash it down then fill it back up and drive a short distance and see what happens. A leak that bad shouldn't be too hard to spot.
I know I'm digging up an old thread here but from what I gather 242 degrees is the overheat mark for these motors? Now that the weather is getting hotter I am seeing 210-220 in the heat of the day and wanted to make sure that is ok. Normally she runs 195-210.
Where are ya'll finding air filters for the factory turbo air box? None of the local parts stores have a clue what I am talking about and keep trying to give me a PSD filter or an N/A filter.
I like my 4.10's for turning the big tires. I had an old F150 with 3.55's once and I swapped them out for 4.10's as well. I had 36's on that truck if I remember right.
Well I finally got some different tires and an alignment done so the truck is driving strait down the road for a change. Ever since I bought it it has bounced really bad. Part of it was the tires but even after the new tires it still does it more than I would like. I have 6" rough country...
