Hi. Replaced tie rods, drag link and adjusting sleeves on my son's truck. He found the following torque specs, and hoping someone can verify them as correct.
Tie rods and drag link:52-74 ft/lbs
Adjusting sleeve: 29-41 ft/lbs
87 F250 6.9 4wd
D44
Thanks

Thanks. The center bore does not fit tight on the wheels I posted, or on the wheels currently on the truck. The current tire/wheels rub at full turn, and we just don't like them. That's why we started looking for replacements, and found the wheels I originally posted. We will keep on looking for...
Thanks for all the help. We are going to look for some different wheels with correct backspacing. Since my son will be driving, I don't want to take any chances with lug nut issues and rubbing.
Any idea where to look for wheels? Don't really care what diameter, it has 20" on now. Just don't like...
Yeah, he probably needs to find different wheels with correct backspacing. It's our fault since we didn't research enough. Just figured if they were on a 95 F250, they would work on a 87.

Thanks, all!
My son has a 87 F250 6.9 that's he's been working on. He recently bought some aluminum bullet holes (16x8) that were mounted on a 95 F-250. Lug nuts weren't part of the deal, so he was going to use his old ones. I just want to verify that his are the correct type. The wheels are tapered at the...
Thank you! There is only one, and it isn’t really dirty which made me believe it went on the inside. My son removed it originally, and thought it came from the outside but wasn’t exactly sure.
Hi. My son and I are working on a 1987 F250 for him to drive when he turns 16. I decided to join because this site has been such a wonderful resource for us.
Hi. Been fixing a 1987 F250 with my son for him to drive It has the 6.9 IDI. We are replacing the entire cooling system, and almost have it back together. The water pump pulley has a spacer/disk with the 4 bolt holes. I’m ashamed to say that we can’t remember if the spacer goes behind the pulley...
