Texas IDI Roundup- Dyno day and Show & Shine

Fuel Line quick connectors?
So what you're really saying...is that you don't know what type ends Ford used on these trucks... Because the ones I've got are all BROKEN and no amount of clips or O-rangs is gonna fix that. The ends need replacing... But thanks for the input...- Tumbleweed210

Fuel Line quick connectors?
Yeppers I put some of those in last year...then the O-rings started weeping. Tried pickin them out...PITA...but got them replaced. Wound up that I put NBR's in and found out they don't play nicely with our fuel of choice. Went back to put Dorman Vitons in, and those were too loose? Sealed...- Tumbleweed210

Fuel Line quick connectors?
I'm trying to fix all the fuel lines from both tanks, up to the stock tank selector valve... Looking for fusible links!!!!
The only fusibles that I could find on mine were at the ends of the double wire (one ring connector -two links going into one wire...IIRC) that goes between the glow plug controller and starter relay (Right fender), and the starter relay to engine wiring harness (I think it goes all the way...- Tumbleweed210

Had the same issue...and it turned out to be one of the Maxi-fuses in the under hood "distribution box". You should be able to Google a diagram for your year/model.- Tumbleweed210

Are Bilstein shocks the best?
Currently road testing the Monroe's ...after replacing the O-riginal factory shocks that had lost their bushings? Almost 1000 miles so far....No complaints...No praise neither. :peelout- Tumbleweed210

I...with the help of some othets...recently found that my 4/0 starter cable had developed EXCESSIVE RESISTANCE to current flow. Why does my truck take so long to fill at the pump?

What did you break on your truck today
Was doing the front fuel tank shower head, and the extension mod...and somehow...er, uh...the plastic vent piece got broke. I have two 5/8 inch wrenches... One is a regular combination wrench, that I heated up with an oxy-acetylene torch and bent the open end over at 90° (like a crow-foot) and oil quenched after.
