Low smoke level from hot injection pumps?
Been looking at the 110cc pumps available, but really hate seeing my fuel leave the truck through smoke Anybody ever able to make a very low smoke setup using high volume pumps? With a well designed fast spoiling intercooled turbo system, possible to get there?- Rusgo

Newer injections pump going bad? Weird symptoms. Just creeping along
Injection pump has 30k miles on it. Truck starts fast and drives well at first. A little lower powered than normal After 5 minutes of driving power is way down. After 15 minutes I'm just crawling along and truck dies at stoplight! Power drop is linear. No surging. 5mph top speed. Restarts fine...- Rusgo

Pinion seal is leaking. Shaft has some wobble. Rebuild or snug it up?
Only leaked for one day and then stopped But shaft has wobble anyway. Does tightening the pinion nut pull the pinion tighter into it's race? Axle has 200k on it. Time for a rebuild? How long can carrier bearings last? The ring and pinion itself?- Rusgo

Rattlecan ZF5 at high rpm?!
Have a zf5 with single mass flywheel behind the 6.9 that makes a consistent rattling noise above 2500 Rpm. Sounds like high speed gear rollover/chatter. Definitely internal. Junkyard engine issues. Dont overseal your gaskets?
Grabbing a set of 6.9 cylinder heads today at picknpull. Looks like the engine was rebuilt at some point. 6.9 Blowby...Rebuild or new rings?

New kickers for the old 1986 F350 + build info
Love this truck. Had it for quite awhile. It's my money maker. Loaded down with 3000 lbs of equipment, 35" tires, 200k miles, I still get 17 to 19 mpg. Doesn't need a lift to fit the 35s in there.
