Ok I advanced it about the width of the line on the pump it moved the black smoke to around 3,000 and up. Does feel like there is more power now tho. Starts a little harder though. Insta lead of just bumping the starter And it firing it takes about one or two revolutions
So I bought it about 20k miles ago. N/A newer cdr 5 speed Manuel. I like to let it idle until high idle and advance kick off. Maintenance before me no idea. I do have a spare motor with 150k on it but I’m not ready to swap them yet. Not losing coolant am using about a quart of oil every 300 miles
Turns out the tranny was empty. Not sure how long the PO ran it empty if at all but needless to say it’s full now hopefully she will still last a while but I’m sure that shaved some life off of it

I have a 1997 SCLB zf5 powerstroke donor and a 1992 CCLB E4OD. Could I use the front half of the donor rear driveline and mate it to my rear half....in theory it would work right?
So I have a 97 powerstroke donor single cab and a 92 Idi crew cab. I know now I will have to use Idi clutch flywheel and pressure plate, would the pedal assembly master and slave work? Also drivelines just get mine lengthened or will I need flanges from the powerstroke welded onto my drivelines?
