I Am in Search for A Ramp

Try discount ramps Great prices and fast shipping.... And a hell of a lot cheaper than what you are looking at. That's where I bought ramps for my last haul and tow RV transport truck and I know several other RV and car transporters that buy their ramps here.

Just in case you guys did not notice....

Doing good George. Base curb weight for the 2005 "X" 4x4 with the 6.OhNo is 7770 lbs...... With fuel and stuff in it she would be testing the lift and anchor bolts in the concrete but you only need to lift the body off to work on injectors, head gaskets and studs. God forbid you ever have to...

Just in case you guys did not notice....

Was wondering when you were going to break the ice as I wasn't going to spill the beans. It's a very good looking "X";Sweet Have a 9k lift in the new shop now so if you need to get under it the easy way, gimme a shout.

What speed, gear, and RPM do you tow?

OK, I'll play nice now. What I found when I was transporting RVs is with a fifth wheel RV vs a regular travel trailer wind resistance is less as the aero is working off your trucks cab and pushing the air over the trailer vs dropping back down behind your truck and hitting that brick wall you...

    Air bag questions

Nice catch;Sweet I forgot all about the universal rail mounting brackets having 2 holes up top offset from the holes on the sides of the brackets. Even if his don't he could simply swap to opposite side of the truck. Take longer to get the tools out than do the job. I have Airlift bags and...

    Air bag questions

That's what I'd do. Eliminates the risk of a weld breaking from repositioning the mounting tab too.

    sleeper cabs....

$700 for the sleeper and I have a new accordion gasket for it. Price is firm. Right now I ain't messing with trying to sell it but once the shop is done I have a bunch of stuff I've had laying around that I don't have a use for anymore going up for sale and will get pics then.

    sleeper cabs....

I'll load it in your bed for free.;Sweet Frame stretch, paint and installation would run you about $3-4k + the price of the sleeper. A roughly 57" frame stretch for a sleeper like this on a pickup runs right about $1500 - $2k alone.

    sleeper cabs....

How about a 54" Roadmaster conversion Only $9695 for the base model installed. I have one sitting behind the shop right now that came off an OBS Ford with the optional sofa bed and side windows I scored off Ebay for $700. IIRC she's got the seat belts too.

    sleeper cabs....

The gaskets are called accordion seals and they press onto the lip of the window when you take it out. Over lap the seam at the bottom of the hole and glue it together and put 3M weatherstrip adhesive in the grove of the seal where it presses onto the lip to seal them and they dont leak. Note...

97 psd power loss big time

97 psd power loss big time

Your fuel pressure is your problem. It should be higher than 50 at idle and 30 - 90 at WOT. Assuming you don't have a fuel leak somewhere, I'd change the regulator and go from there. Get it right first before modding it.

Lets see if my diagnosis is correct..............100 degrees is the killer.

The cool water trick is what we had to do to hummers often over in the sandbox and it works. We found it usually takes about a gallon to cool it off enough on the GM 6.2 - 6.5. Probably similar on the IDI as it takes more to cool it off inside than many think it does.

Doopy the Plow Truck gets a Cummins 4BT

Darrin, Just grind and bend a fender washer to shape. To the best of my knowledge all the tabs I've seen are flat, you'ld have to modify it anyways by bending it for the step so you might as well make your own for $0.05 FYI, the new replacement timing gear cases that Cummins sells for these...

Doopy the Plow Truck gets a Cummins 4BT

Sorry to hear that. The injectors I got from Pensacola Diesel. I've heard both good and bad about their stuff. Me, I did well and put about 100k on them before the truck got totaled. One of my best friends in Omaha owns an excavating company and has a fleet of about 20 chevy trucks with the...

Doopy the Plow Truck gets a Cummins 4BT

Hey Darrin I like the idea. I've always wondered how a 4BT would do in a pickup. My F800 Haul and Tow truck had a P pumped 6BTA I dropped in a set of new (not reman) stage 1 injectors, a Number 6 fuel plate and had Stateline Diesel in Edwardsburg, MI replace the fuel pressure...
