Pic of the seat put in, I think there from a newer 7.3. After the maintenance realized I was due for a new serp belt, hardest one I’ve ever had to install
Hey fellas finished up a lot of maintenance issues with the truck finally got the interior put back together. Got everything put back together and she fired up and sounded really good. Noticed a fuel leak but drove it anyways (I was excited) drove nice but needs an alignment. Anyways think I...
Wes kinda of nailed it, it’s a pretty basic truck for 7500, even with the low miles. Not knowing what kind of parts were used. https://www.oilburners.net/threads/whats-a-top-dollar-idi-worth.85018/page-3#post-1018487
Good discussion going about prices.
Played with the idea of electric pump, decided to just stick with a fresh mechanical one. It’s a Napa (carter) hopefully get some miles out of it, the one I pulled out looked like the original, still need to put wespauls check valve on
Seems like pretty good stuff was easy to work with. I got two orders of the 80 mil and it was plenty to do the floor doors, roof and back panel. If it’s cold when you go to do try using a heat gun worked well for me
Experienced a similar issue and as everyone has said check the wire connections and the plugs themselves, you want to make sure you have motorcraft glow plugs, and I saw thewespaul has a new harness you can buy if the wiring from the controller to the plugs looks wonky
As fun as it is getting it looking pretty I’m more worried about getting it running good as it’s gonna be my dd and pulling trailers and hauling tools. I had to patch a couple of the glow plugs connectors, those butt connectors work well, not sure who I got the idea from but I know it was...
What’s going on fellas been slacking on working on the truck mostly due to the winter we’ve been having here. Anyways finally decent enough to get some stuff going. I’m trying to get this thing worthy once the weather breaks cause we got some work on the books already. Stripped the inside and...

Thinking about picking this up for the turbo and then selling the truck, my truck is a manual tranny so probably need a couple different parts. Said he’d take 850 what you guys think
Wow all the time? It’s hard enough to find anything idi where I’m at. I’m just look for a idit set up to maybe build For when my na claps out. I messaged him to see what he thought about $500 let you know if I here back from him
Guy claims it had 240k on it when he pulled it and was running good. Days he go the truck for a tranny swap. He’s a couple hours away from me so if I make the drive I better come home with it.
Thanks for the reply, I’ll get to ordering the repair kit and getting that fixed up. Any brand better than another? Haven’t really driven the truck much sense I’ve had it but anxious to get it rolling. Once I get it driving good I’ll be getting the exhaust done. Lots of stuff on here to read about.
Cool thanks I’ll have to check there.
As this is my first diesel what’s the normal gp operation. After checking and changing the bad plugs I’m still having a hard time getting it started. It’s been about 30° here so maybe it’s normal, I keep it to plugged in. I turn the key wait to start comes...
For how old it is, it’s a pretty straight truck. Main goal for now is to get it running and stopping good and maybe drive straight. Maybe get another motor and build that until the one that’s in it goes
Ha damn probably couldn’t have guessed this was my first diesel. Hopefully I don’t put gas in it when I go to fill it up! Been having a hard cold start issue PO said he put all new glow plugs and relay in but I checked them, #4 and #1 looked like old autolites I put new motorcraft in, and the...
