Leaf spring bushings....
Have a 1993 7.3 IDI turbo. Experience w/bushing replacement is from Pontiac Fiero.....yep, that's whatI said. I tried drilling holes in rubber bushings to remove. Installing cab clearance lights
My 1993 IDI Turbo already had cab lights. Just a note to y'all. I replaced the faded amber lenses w/smoked lenses, and installed blue LED lights. Looked awesome because truck is dark blue. Power Steering Leakage
OK......I give up....what's the secret to fix fluid leakage @ this fitting? Old pump was leaking here. Replaced pump just because it was original w/170k miles. No leakage for months, but recently started leaking badly.- Ray Packer

RIPHIP: Thanks for suggestion. I may give belt dressing a try. Both idler pulleys are brand new and serpentine is maybe 3k miles old. IDIoit: I wondered about that spring arm being the culprit. 1993 7.3 IDI turbo. When I replaced the vacuum pump because of low brakes, squeaking started. So far I've installed two different new vacuum pumps, cleaned/regreased both idler pulleys, installed two new idler pulleys, greased the idler pully spring arm. Still this dang noise. 7.3 idi turbo hard to start
When I 1st got my 1993 IDI Turbo it would not start worth a hoot. Changed glow plugs, replaced fuel lines, still wouldn't start well. I wired a push button in the dashboard and bypassed the glow plug controller, still hard starting. Turns out that the glow plug controller solenoid was clicking...- Ray Packer

1992 7.3 IDI Wont Start.
Had trouble starting my IDI turbo. Replaced glow plugs, installed new hoses/o-rings/olive seals, installed electric fuel pump, bypassed the glow plug controller using a manual button on the dash. Hard start even with new injectors, injection pump and glow plugs...help
Got a good deal on a '93 F250 IDI Turbo. New batteries, glow plugs(not Motorcraft), electric fuel pump, return line caps/o-rings, installed manual button to bypass glow plug controller...... and it still didn't want to start! Bought/installed new GP relay yesterday. This morning 34°F, no block heater used, ignition switch on, 10 seconds on manual GP button, short crank over and she kicked once. So after three or four long cranking sessions, each with a 10 sec. push on the manual glow plug button, nothing but white smoke and one "chug". Outside temperature was ~65° and block heater not plugged in. I experimented by crossing the large lugs on the GP controller solenoid for ~10 sec...- Ray Packer

Some air is normal in the fuel/return system, or in the electric fuel pump bowl? No fuel leaking from any of the return line caps or hoses.
