what goes into pulling an idi?
Pull the core support... IF its not rusted out? You dont need to pull the hood unless you're going in from the top with a crane to pull the whole works..Try not to damage the support the turbo supports are tough to come by, if you have an N/A the support is different from the turbos. I've used Lubribor for years. Dad started using it when the truck was newish. 94 7.3 IDIT. The only reason Jason @ R&D has my engine is because it sat for a couple 3 years due to family illness.. and we all know how these LOVE to sit unused. Thank man! I've been carving and beating on mechanical for decadds.. so coming from someone like myself? Means a lot! Seriously! Russ has already rebuilt my turbo! Dad bought it new off the lot, even has the original turbo diesel badge.. the garret was replaced with a sidewinder. I know the full history in the truck, C or K should be TD- Derik McClintock

Rear main seal leakage - should I use a stop leak? [1994 IDI w/ turbo]
I had a good dripper there, most of it was the valve covers.. not sure how but it was running down and coming out there.. i do have a small dribble from the rear .. Try the VC bolts they're easy to get to..- Derik McClintock

U-joints??
I JUST went through this. I have an extended cab 2 piece DL, all 3 are the larger U joints.. I'm 900 miles from it or I would send a picture of the box. but go in and tell them you need the bigger ones. They actually showed the correct ones in their system.
